BOW "Man In The Machine" Album Premiere

Since we announced this exclusive one-day premiere of Bow‘s debut album, I have to say that I was very impatient to launch the whole thing. And here we are. The 13 track Man In The Machine is available for stream in the player down below. But let’s give few facts about the release.

Bow is the mysterious new project by Dutch multi-instrumentalist Chris van der Linden, best known as the driving force and singer of progressive rock band Fourteen Twentysix. With Bow he further breaks away from the mainstream, combining ambient, industrial and ethnic music into evocative, cinematic soundscapes. The debut album Man In The Machine is entirely fan-funded, a clear statement that one needs no record label to create fantastic music and reach music fans around the world.

Man In The Machine tells the haunting story of a man questioning one’s purpose in life. An emotional and unique musical journey that takes you on a mesmerizing trip you won’t soon forget. The album combines dreamy ambient, glitchy noises, pounding industrial and fragile harp playing into a stunning collage. The album is devoid of any singing and instead uses film-like spoken word passages for its narrative.

The album will be available as download from Bandcamp, starting from September 6th and as a digipack deluxe edition, which will officially be released on October 1st. On THIS LOCATION you can read an interview with Chris we did earlier.

Rather strange music, not that easy to listen to, but with some some interesting parts.

back for my 2nd round..i agree with ann is not the norm of music. but since when is “normal” tagged on anything other then katy perry and the beeb,(fucking weirdo) anyway i really like the narration. if one listens 2 times once with headphones/earbuds and once without you will get 2 versions of the same thing. its ratehr interesting how that worked for me. with buds it was void of any outside noise or interference and made my listen much more enjoyable. this has feel of a soundtrack in some ways. with each track it does make one wonder where its going to take you . i say good job on a sound that is very difficult to place within a specific genre of music….hope i see more comments …
