Michael Morton and Daniel Thomas of progressive rock band Topografic Oceans have confronted at the latest rehearsal over, you won’t believe it, time signatures.

Namely, as the band is working on their debut album, guitarist Morton and bassist Thomas have different ideas about certain parts of their songs.

If we want to be a Prog band, we must include multiple odd time signatures in our music such 7/4 and 5/4,” says Thomas.

Morton commented: “7/4 is overrated. Every goddamn band is using it nowadays. My ideas are to switch between 21/16 and 19/16. He should listen to a lot more of King Crimson and Zappa.
