Video Premiere: VANGOUGH – Separation

Vangough

Prog Sphere brings an exclusive video premiere of Vangough’s Separation, taken from the band’s third album Between the Madness. View it below.

The album was released in 2013 and received positive reviews from the media. It ended on the TOP 100 of the ProgArchives list of the best albums for 2013. The video for Separation, the third song from Between the Madness, was directed by Will Thompson and edited by Jayson Lewis.

Vocalist and guitarist Clay Withrow, who previously toured as a member of Pain of Salvation, commented: “We wanted to capture the energy of our live show, as well as the frenetic nature of the song.

I think as a representation of the band, it’s a big step up from our last video.

As for the location, we filmed it in an abandoned church down the street from our studio. Thinking back, it was a pretty dangerous location as the floors were almost entirely rotted out.

Vangough have been confirmed for the ProgPower USA Midweek Mayhem along with Pain of Salvation and Theocracy in Atlanta on September 10. Tickets for this show can be purchased here.

Between the Madness is available from Bandcamp in different formats: a standard digipak CD, digital download, digipak + T-shirt combo and the signature combo edition comprised of an autographed digipak CD plus digital download, two 18″ x 24″ posters and an awesome eyeflower T-shirt. Get it here.
