Video Premiere: FRACTAL MIRROR – The Chair

Fractal Mirror sign with Synergy Electronic Music/Third Contact

Alternative progressive rock act Fractal Mirror have released a lyric video for The Chair taken from the band’s full-length debut album Strange Attractors released last November. The video is produced by Andre de Boer and includes graphic art by Brian Watson. View the video below (courtesy of Prog Sphere).

The origins of Fractal Mirror can be traced back to the mid-eighties when three friends from Amsterdam started to make music together influenced by bands from the famous 4AD label and artists like David Sylvian. At the same time a new wave of progressive rock was expanding its listening audience.  Bands like IQ, Pendragon, Twelfth Night, Marillion and Pallas but especially the virtually unknown Canadian band Terraced Garden have been a big influence on Fractal Mirror music.

The band is currently working on a Strange Attractors successor, which is expected to be out later this year. The first album is available on CD, as well as a digital download and can be purchased directly from the band via their Bandcamp page. Prog Sphere have previously conducted an interview with the band, check it out on THIS LOCATION.
