TOEHIDER Releases New Single "How Do Ghosts Work?"

Good is the brand new full-length album from Melbourne’s Toehider. The album will see its release on Thursday October 19 via Bird’s Robe Records and today we are getting a new taste of the record with new single “How Do Ghosts Work?” (hear it below). Previous single “This Conversation is Over” dropped recently and was received with fervour.

Led by singer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Mills, in collaboration with graphic artist Andrew Saltmarsh, it’s the third album by the genre-hopping Toehider and the eighteenth release overall in the past six years. Mills‘ incredible versatility has seen Toehider easily claim the mantle of Australia’s most prolific progressive rock outfit, having issued 12 EPs in 12 months to kickstart the group’s career.

The forthcoming album follows a number of milestones for the band. Toehider will perform at this year’s ProgPower Festival in Cologne, Germany, alongside fellow Australians Voyager and sleepmakeswaves, as well as UK heavyweights TesseracT. Mike Mills will also feature for the second time as a featured vocalist in a European theatre production of Dutch composer Ayreon‘s prog-rock-opera material, as well as appearing on Ayreon‘s The Source record alongside James LaBrie (Dream Theater).

Toehider and Mills have seen their profile increase considerably since the release of 2011′s To Hide Her and 2014′s What Kind of Creature Am I?. Earning triple j airplay, extensive touring around Australia, supports for Devin TownsendThe BeardsTwelve Foot Ninja & The Protomen. Mills also went viral with a jaw-dropping cover of Kate Bush‘s “Wuthering Heights” hitting over 600,000 views.

With Australian live dates to be announced soon after his imminent return to Europe – it’s time to return to the fantastic world of Toehider once again.

Toehider‘s Good album will be out on Thursday October 19 and is available for pre-order now at Bandcamp.
