The Tangent have just released their independent companion CD to this year’s Le Sacre Du Travail.
The album is called L’Etagere Du Travail which roughly translates as The Work Shelf to indicate the fact that it’s music that did not make it onto the final album. Complete in a digipack with matching artwork to the main album, this album includes high quality out-takes from the …Sacre sessions including five brand new songs and five revisitations of earlier material. This is a release for fans and collectors and is not to be seen as an official release in the Tangent’s repertoire. It’s available of course exclusively fromwww.thetangent.org and is not an InsideOut release. The handling and delivery of this album will be undertaken by The Merch Desk.
One of the album’s highlights is a reworking of one movement of Claude Debussy’s La Mer which features Luke Machin on guitar. The band have also just embarked on a rolling programme of download releases ofPo90 and Tillison solo work, the first of which is now available from the band’s website.
