STEVEN WILSON Announces One-Off Vinyl Collection “Transience”

Steven Wilson today announced a limited edition vinyl-only release scheduled to coincide with the second leg of the Hand. Cannot. Erase. tour, released on September 4th.

Transience” is a special compilation personally curated by Steven as an introduction to his prolific solo output including singles Harmony Korine, Postcard and a new edit of title track Transience from current album “Hand. Cannot. Erase.”

This vinyl only album also contains a new recording of the Porcupine Tree classic Lazarus, which Steven has been performing on tour recently with his stellar live band. The new version is based on a live recording, subsequently overdubbed and edited in Steven’s private studio in July 2015.

Transience contains 13 tracks and totals over 1 hour of music. Pressed as a 3 sided LP in a lavish gatefold sleeve with black and white portraits of Steven Wilson by Joe Del Tufo and Susana Moyaho, the fourth vinyl side features an etching of the original handwritten lyric sketches for Happy Returns. This is a strictly limited one off pressing.

In the UK demand for Steven Wilson’s live shows is higher than ever. Following a string of sold-out dates, Steven has announced a five-date tour for 2016, which will include a massive date at the London Eventim Apollo.
