Sound of Contact has just been added to the Yestival on August 3rd in Camden, New Jersey! We’ll be playing songs from our new album Dimensionaut including some longgggg ones!  A dose of some fresh new prog rock to go along with your nostalgic classic Yes albums performed by Yes in their entirety (yes I know you know that part) along with music of ELP (Carl Palmer), Genesis (Musical Box), Renaissance, Volto (Danny Carey of Tool) and more.

This is going to be a lot of fun. Who from PE is going to this? Don’t miss our set! Get there early. We start the show on the main stage, first band on I believe. I’ll be sure to post the details when I have them. This is fresh out of the oven right now so I thought I’d share it with you guys. A lot of you were probably going to this anyway but if you needed one more reason to go, Sound of Contact is my band with Simon Collins (son of a certain Genesis lead singer/drummer whose first name rhymes with Bill) and Matt Dorsey. We have our debut album “Dimesionaut” out which you can hear snippets from on iTunes…ut/id643083460 We’ve got Ronen Gordon and Randy McStine playing with us at the gig. I actually met Randy on PE a few years ago and we ended up working together on his Lo-Fi Resistance “Chalk Lines” album which featured a lot of great prog guys from bands like Porcupine Tree, Kings X and Brand X. He’s a really talented guitar player but as an artist (songwriter, singer etc.) he reminds me of a young Kevin Gilbert in a way. So stoked to have him on board. We were spoiled when we had John Wesley (Porcupine Tree, Fish) play the first run of gigs with SOC but we remain just as spoiled still to have a talent like Randy and Ronen with us as well. It’s going to be a great show! Hope to see you there!
