Progstravaganza - Cea Serin feature

Baton Rouge, LA based “mercurial” metallers Cea Serin are set to release their sophomore studio album The Vibrant Sound of Bliss and Decay on October 6th via Generation Prog Records. The band is the part of the upcoming CD edition of the Progstravaganza compilation series titled Beyond Frontiers. You can now watch a lyric video for the participating song The Victim Cult below.

Drawing influences ranging from Carcass to Anathema to Dream Theater, Cea Serin with The Vibrant Sound of Bliss and Decay delivers an album that embrace both conventional and forward-thinking sides of metal genres.

Commented guitarist Keith Warman on the feature on Progstravaganza: Beyond Frontiers: “Compilation CDs are great and, I think, worth their weight in gold in terms of getting your music out to listeners. There are other bands on there, so just taking into consideration alone, you have the other bands, their friends, their family, their fans, all the work they’ve put in to promote themselves – they’re sharing that with you and you’re sharing everything you’ve done with them. And so it’s a win-win situation. So I think it’s an excellent investment. With such an oversaturated market of metal and rock and musicians out there doing their thing, I’m always looking for something new personally as a rock fan. I’m always looking for that odd diamond in the rough album that I’ll listen to for years to come and never get tired of. Which comes along rarely. And one of the best ways to do that is compilations. Get a compilation CD of your favorite genre, if you like prog metal or prog rock or whatever you wanna call it, pick up the Prog Sphere CD and check us out! And just check the other bands out! And just remember that by doing that, you’re giving those guys a listen, you really might find a diamond in the rough for yourself. And hopefully we’ll pick up some more fans and hopefully I’ll get a chance, and I’m looking forward to that, to hear some other cool new stuff as well. But absolutely, compilation CDs are an excellent investment to get your music out there.

Progstravaganza: Beyond Frontiers will be out on October 14th. Pre-order the 6-page digipack edition with artwork designed by Chris van der Linden. The CD’s mastering was done by Frank Gingeleit at Living Tunes Mastering.
