PORCUPINE TREE To Release New Live Album This November

Porcupine Tree will release a live album, Octane Twisted, on November 19, the band have announced.

Steve Wilson’s outfit have prepared a double CD set with bonus DVD. The first disc features a full performance of acclaimed 2009 album The Incident, while the second includes a range of tracks from across the band’s career. The DVD carries video shot in Chicago in 2010, while the live version of The Incident was being recorded.

The band admits: “The six-camera production was never intended to be a stand-alone release, but nicely documents The Incident in front of a typically lively Chicago audience.

The seven-track second CD, recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in London, offers the following pieces: Hatesong; Russia on Ice / The Pills I’m Taking; Stars Die; Bonnie the Cat; Even Less; Dislocated Day; Arriving Somewhere But Not Here.

Wilson recently released a solo live DVD, Get All You Deserve, admitting he thought long and hard before deciding to bust the budget to ensure the show was good enough to shoot.
