Progressive metal quartet from Brooklyn, Infinite Spectrum has recently completed work on a new single entitled Under One God. Prog Sphere has exclusive rights to premiere a song, hear it below.
With influences such as Dream Theater, Symphony X, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and classic prog bands such as Yes and Rush, Infinite Spectrum‘s music is very eclectic, innovative and experimental in nature. Combining theatrical elements with the progressive metal genre, Infinite Spectrum has crafted their own brand of musical story-telling, which includes elements of classic radio-style drama, for a uniquely cinematic listening experience. Their critically-acclaimed debut album, Misguided is an 80 minute concept recording with a dark fantasy storyline. The album was mixed and mastered by Grammy Award-winning audio engineer, Chris Theis and was released in late 2012.
The band is currently engaged in pre-production for their concept-based follow-up to Misguided which is set to be released in 2015.
Infinite Spectrum‘s bassist Alex Repetti comments: “We decided that since our debut album, Misguided, was a grand-scheme concept album, and that the next album we’re currently working on will also be a full-length concept album, that it would be nice to branch off a little bit, and release a stand-alone single right now. Since the stories in our albums tend to be themed in time periods and such, we decided to take on a bit more of a timeless subject with this song. Hope you all enjoy it!“
