Dallas, TX post-hardcore quintet Third & Delaware are launching music video for “Ardor” off of their recently released EP Generations via Prog-Sphere.com. Stream it below.
Singer Richard Xiong commented: “‘Ardor’ represents both a good and bad part of my life. I had to walk out on someone that was, at the time, very important to me. They didn’t appreciate the efforts that I put into the relationship, and ended up using me as a stepping stone. I then realized the importance of keeping only certain people in your life, because others will try to take advantage of your vulnerabilities. When I wrote the lyrics to ‘Ardor,’ I wanted to convey that passion is necessary for anything to grow. Visually, I wanted scenes that would flow through the stages of a relationship that ended in one partner leaving something that wasn’t good for them.“
The main message of the song is to hold dear what makes you grow as a person, and to cast out the negative thoughts and people that oppose them.
Third & Delaware are focused on making more content for an upcoming full-length release.
Xiong has a following message: “We’ll be sure to jump on as many shows as we can too. Thank you so much for checking us out! We’re definitely looking forward to what’s to come!”
Generations is available to order from Bandcamp.
