TESSERACT Working on New (Concept) Album

Tesseract guitarist James Monteith talked with South African web portal Channel24 about the follow-up to the band’s 2015 record Polaris.

He said: “Yup, we’re working on that right now.

We’re not quite sure when it will be released yet, but over the next 4 to 5 months that is our prime focus.

About the theme of the upcoming album, Monteith said:

I think there probably will be, but we don’t know what it will be yet. At the moment there’s a mountain of ideas and thoughts, so we’re very much in the process of putting it all together now.

We have about two or three songs which are close to completion, but nothing is in its final state yet. But also, Acle [Kahney, guitarist/founder] in particular is a constant tweaker, so he’s always striving to refine things and make them as good as they can be.

So nothing ends up being in its final state until we’re told: ‘Right, time’s up, hand it in.’
