STEVEN WILSON Shares New Video from Album #5 Recording Sessions

Steven Wilson

We all know by now that Steven Wilson has a new album in the works, which will be released later this year. The musician has already teased a bit sharing a video clip where he sings along Ninet Tayeb on a new song “Pariah.”

Wilson has shared another clip from the recording sessions of the new album. The clip (seen below) features a harmonica player Mark Feltham performing on a song “To the Bone.” Steven wrote:

I’ve loved Mark’s playing ever since hearing his work on albums such as Talk Talk’s “Colour of Spring” and “Spirit of Eden” and The The’s “Mind Bomb”, so it’s a real thrill to have him playing on the new album.

Asked for his opinion on people having certain expectations when it comes to new material, Wilson told us: “I think the thing for me is that I don’t like to repeat myself and I like every record to have a reason to exist. If I was just going to make another record the same as “The Raven that Refused to Sing” – which was a very popular record, it did very well for me – but I couldn’t see the point of just making more music like that. So it’s important to me with every record to feel like there is a sense of reinvention, something new, something to make it interesting for me and something to justify doing it at all.”
