New SYMPHONY X Possibly Out This or Next Year, Says Bassist MIKE LEPOND

SYMPHONY X Albums Ranked

Back in May 2017, Symphony X singer Russell Allen commented at the time that there were no plans for a new Symphony X album by the end of the year, due to his commitments with Adrenaline Mob, and guitarist Michael Romeo‘s work on a solo album.

Bassist Mike LePond, who is currently promoting his new Silent Assassins album Pawn and Prophecy, says that the band will start writing songs for a new Symphony X album next album. In an interview with Metal Nation‘s Rustyn Rose, LePond said:

In 2017, Symphony X did not perform. Michael Romeo was working on a solo album, which he’s finishing up now. And Russell, he was doing work with his side band, the Adrenaline Mob, and now I think he probably just finished his tour with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. So, basically, it’s looking like probably sometime next month we’re going to get together and start writing songs again. And hopefully we’ll have something new available either by the end of this year or early next year.
