Bassist and Guitarist of PINK FLOYD Tribute Band in Conflict Over Creative Differences

Careful With that Axe

London, England – Bassist Martin Layne and guitarist Peter Wilson of a London-based Pink Floyd tribute band Careful With That Axe are in conflict over the creative and performance differences of Pink Floyd songs.

Before the band’s gig in a London pub few days ago, Layne and Wilson argued over the tunings the songs had to be performed in. Namely, Layne insisted on performing the set two steps down aiming for a heavier sound, what didn’t appeal to Wilson.

We got to hear from Layne who commented: “We had a deal to perform this set two steps down, but during the soundcheck Peter went mad. I am not really sure what happened. I guess that it’s his way of trying to kick me out of the band.

We’ve approached Wilson via Facebook about the whole situation, but he didn’t give us an answer although the status of the message seems to be “seen.”
