Want To Jam Out At Progressive Nation At Sea With Transatlantic Or Jon Anderson Or The Flower Kings Or Pain of Salvation…? You’re In!


You don’t get a chance every day to jam with the elite of progressive rock, that’s true. But, do you get a chance to jam with these bands on a sea? That actually might be a case, as Progressive Nation At Sea organizers have a thrilling offer for up-and-coming bands prog bands. Mike Portnoy recently posted on his Facebook following update:

Your band can win a slot on PN14!! We’re selecting 3 up & coming bands to perform on Progressive Nation at Sea! Band submissions must be entered by December 13th to be considered.

The full update says:

Does your band have what it takes? Do you like new experiences and new directions? Well, look no further, Progressive Nation at Sea’s ”Sixthman Soundcheck” is the chance of a lifetime.  We’re looking for some new prog acts to show us what you’ve got! You could be selected to jam out at sea with Transatlantic, Jon Anderson, The Flower Kings, Pain of Salvation, King’s X and more inspiring artists on our 4 day vacation to prog-adise!

The Nitty Gritty:

  • Submissions will be accepted through December 13th. Qualifying acts will be notified on or before December 20th.

  • Sixthman and Progressive Nation at Sea will select 3 acts from the submissions to perform on the event.

  • Selected acts will play (1) 45 – 60 min set on board one of the main stages.  Set times and location TBD.

  • Each selected act will receive (1) interior cabin for 4 with the option of purchasing up to 3 interior cabins (max occ 4) for the price of $199 per person. Travel to and from Port of Miami not included.

  • Backline will be provided. More details will be provided to selected acts.

  • All selected acts will be featured on Progressive Nation at Sea social media, website and on board event program.

Don’t forget, this happens (probably) once in a life-time, so get your guitars, drumsticks and trumpets and give it a go.
