STEVEN WILSON Officially Out Of BLACKFIELD

Blackfield

Steven Wilson has announced his upcoming live appearances with Blackfield will be his farewell to the band.

He started out as an equal partner in the project alongside Aviv Geffen in 2001 – but due to his solo commitments he appeared only as a guest on last year’s Blackfield IV album. Now he’s confirmed he’ll take no further part in the band after their upcoming tour, which kicks off in London next week.

Wilson says: “Unfortunately, due to increasing activities with my solo work and other new projects, these be my final shows with Blackfield.

“For this reason the set list will draw mainly from the first two albums, which were the ones that myself and Aviv collaborated on most closely.

“Aviv will continue recording and touring as Blackfield with new collaborators – but for me this is going to be a ‘thank you and farewell’ so I would love to see you there.”

Tour dates

Feb 05: London Koko
Feb 06: Paris Le Trianon
Feb 07: Antwerp Trix
Feb 09: Amsterdam Paradiso
Feb 10: Berlin C Club
Feb 11: Krakow Studio Club
