ROBERT PLANT on JIMMY PAGE’s Comments: “He Needs to Have a Good Rest”

Robert Plant says that Jimmy Page “needs to go to sleep and have a good rest” after the guitarist was quoted as saying Plant was “playing games” about the possibility of a Led Zeppelin reunion tour.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Page was asked if there is a chance of Led Zeppelin playing any more concerts nearly seven years after the band’s lone reunion show at London’s O2 Arena. “I was told last year that Robert Plant said he is doing nothing in 2014, and what do the other two guys think? Well, he knows what the other guys think,” Page said. “Everyone would love to play more concerts for the band. He’s just playing games, and I’m fed up with it, to be honest with you. I don’t sing, so I can’t do much about it. It just looks so unlikely, doesn’t it?“

During a press conference in Morocco, where he is due to perform with his band Sensational Space Shifters, Plant was asked to respond to Page‘s The New York Times comments. “I think he needs to go to sleep and have a good rest, and think again,” Plant said. “We have a great history together, and, like all brothers, we have these moments where we don’t speak on the same page, but that’s life.“
