December 25th marks the release of the 15th part in the Prog Sphere’s Progstravaganza compilation series. The release’s title is Ascension and the album art designed by Linden Artwork can be seen below.
Prog Sphere is determined to bring forward up and coming bands that dwell in progressive rock underground (and beyond) to a wide community of fans of the genre and its “subsidiaries”. With the compilation series hitting recently 29,000 downloads, with over 200 bands being presented through the series, Prog Sphere tends to bring something new with every release.
The next chapter named Ascension adds another feature besides already standard features that include bands profiles on the Progstravaganza website, streaming on Progify, interviews and other features. One of our new jokers is that every band-participant will receive a lyric video, or in case the song is fully instrumental – a photo-video with basic info on the band. And all that with awesome design of Linden Artwork.
Asked about the album art for Ascension, Chris van der Linden from Linden Artwork says: “Well my idea behind the artwork was to create something with a biblical feeling, because this release is during the holidays and is called Ascension. The flock of birds is a symbol of hope, and accentuates the scale of the picture, makes the whole scene look super big.“
Artists interested in taking part in the Progstravaganza compilation series can send their submissions to info@prog-sphere.com
