PRIMITIVE WEAPONS To Play Pitchfork's CMJ Showcase

Brooklyn post-hardcore act PRIMITIVE WEAPONS have just been confirmed to appear as part of PITCHFORK’s “Show No Mercy” showcase at this year’s prestigious CMJ festival in New York City. The all-ages show will take place on Saturday, October 20th at 285 Kent Ave in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and will also feature the likes of Car Bomb, Batillus, Pyroon, and Theologian.

Released earlier this year, PRIMITIVE WEAPONS’ debut full-length, “The Shadow Gallery,” was recorded at Wild Arctic Studios with Dean Baltolunis (American Nightmare, Goes Cube, The Hold Steady). The album, which Alternative Press labelled as being “way catchier than it has any right to be,” also earned a 9/10 rating from Outburn, who called the band’s “Good Hunting” and “Quitter’s Anthem” “hands down, two of the best songs you will hear in 2012.”

Recently, the band was seen touring the East Coast with Mares of Thrace and Pilgrim. Next month, they will play alongside Long Island hardcore legends Vision of Disorder.
