PETER GABRIEL Releases Track From The “So” Sessions 27 Years After

Peter Gabriel will release "Back to Front: Live in London" DVD on June 23 via Eagle Rock

Peter Gabriel has released a completed demo version of his track Courage – 27 years after he started work on it.

The song was begun during recording sessions for his 1986 classic album So. A version was included in the 25th anniversary box set, but now it’s been completed with overdubs by Gabriel and guitarist David Rhodes, and produced by Tchad Blake, and it’s offered as a “radio edit.”

Gabriel says: “When So drew to a close I didn’t feel the song was delivering the way I’d hoped, so I decided not to include it.

“As we were reviewing all the material from that time we wanted to take a fresh look at it and get it finished. I always liked the track and very much enjoyed the playing on it – especially the energy of the drums.”

Courage is on sale as a digital single and comes complete with a remix by Steve Osborne.
