MONUMENTS' "The Amanuensis" to be Reissued on Vinyl via Backbite Records

Monuments‘ sophomore studio album The Amanuensis is slated for a vinyl re-issue on April 18 via German label Backbite Records.

London’s very own Djent/Progressive Metal band Monuments was founded in 2009. Quickly they made it to a record deal with Century Media and put out their debut album Gnosis in 2012. Following a few line-up changes The Amanuesis dropped in 2014, featuring a former Periphery member Christopher Barretto on vocals.

Lyrics inspired by David Mitchell‘s book “Cloud Atlas” and an incredible level of technique, gambling around with Metalcore, Djent and Modern Metal, marked the band’s position as a top-notch act in its genre. Touring the world continuously, Monuments have a huge following around the world.

German record label Backbite Records, specialized on vinyl reissues, signed a licensing deal with Century Media for a 500 copies vinyl repressing of The Amanuensis. The prices for the original pressings went crazy and it is very hard to find the copies of original pressing on market today. Time to fill the gap, your chance to snatch a copy of this gem.

There will be 500 copies in total: 100 on a milky clear vinyl, and 400 on a magenta w/ black marble effect vinyl. High quality lacquer cut at Flight13 duplications Germany and vinyl production at MPO France. Street date is April 18, 2020.
