KING CRIMSON Reveal First Dates of Upcoming Tour

King Crimson

King Crimson will make their live comeback, playing shows in New York City and Albany in September.

Robert Fripp announced his plans to regroup his influential act last year, insisting fans would have to wait for shows.

The dates mark King Crimson’s return to the stage following a five-year hiatus. For this reincarnation, the touring lineup includes founding guitarist Robert Fripp; drummers Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin and Pat Mastelotto; bassist Tony Levin, saxophonist Mel Collins; and guitarist Jakko Jakszyk. Each musician has been a member or collaborator at some point in King Crimson’s 45-plus-year run (except for Jakszyk), most notably Mastelotto, who joined in 1994 and appears on three studio albums, and Collins, who replaced Ian McDonald on 1970′s In the Wake of Poseidon and Lizard and 1971′s Islands.
