Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López of The Mars Volta and At The Drive-In are creating music together again.
It was revealed yesterday (April 8) that the duo has a new project called Antemasque, that besides mentioned duo features former Mars Volta drummer Dave Elitch and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea.
Volcom reports that the band have been working in the studio on titles including 4AM, as heard in the clip below. News about the song’s release will be revealed on the band’s Twitter page.
The Mars Volta was disbanded last year by Bixler-Zavala, Rodriguez-Lopez started new band Bosnian Rainbows. Bixler-Zavala compared Rodriguez-Lopez back then to a “cheating wife” in an official statement.
The duo’s other group, At The Drive-In, last reunited for a string of shows in 2012 when they reissued both their Relationship Of Command and Acrobatic Tenement albums.
