Brian Ellis – Cosmic Perspective

The name of Brian Ellis is mostly known in progressive rock circles by his work with psychedelic/progressive rock act, Astra. Hailing from San Diego / California, besides his commitments in Astra, Brian Ellis runs solo career, meaning he released few albums under his name (the latest one being Quipu, released on Parallax Sounds).

Cosmic Perspective is an EP, released in 2006 and it’s actually one track called Rigil Kentaurus with duration a little bit more that 20 minutes. Knowing Brian’s vast field of influences, ranging from psychedelia to progressive rock to electronic and further more, on Cosmic Perspective / Rigil Kentaurus he doesn’t hesitate to wrap up everything of these influences and produce some quality rhythmic work. Feelings and motoriks, that is how I would describe this slab in short.
