Bandcamp Undercover: Euphonia’s Untamed

Euphonia - Untamed

That former bassist of Haken, Tom MacLean, didn’t go on procrastinating after his departure from the UK progressive rock band is proved by the fact that he formed two projects that ever since then kept him busy. One of them is Believing Reason, and the other one that seems to be getting more attention at the present time is Euphonia, which besides MacLean features his To-Mera bandmate Julie Kiss.

Euphonia has recently put out a single named Untamed, a song that features Haken keyboardist Diego Tejeida (who crafted very nice piano solo) and which will not be the part of the upcoming debut album, but is a standalone version that serves the purpose of tracing the way for the future endeavour(s). Untamed is, as it would be expected, more close to To-Mera than Haken, meaning that it leans towards more symphonic and dramatic sound with occasional employment of effects, adorned with the beautiful voice of Julie Kiss.

The song is available from Bandcamp as name-your-price, so check it out below, head over there and support the band. It’s just the beginning.
